Botulinum Toxin (Botox)

It is a neurotoxin used in aesthetic and therapeutic medicine to temporarily relax muscles, smooth dynamic wrinkles, treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and control chronic migraines or muscle spasms. It works by blocking the nerve signals that cause muscle contraction.

Side Effects:

Generally mild and transient, including bruising, headache, pain at the injection site or temporary drooping of the eyelid.

 

Procedure:

It is performed in the doctor's office, often with anesthetic cream, and lasts a few minutes.

 

Aesthetic Applications:

It is mainly used to reduce wrinkles between the eyebrows, forehead, and crow's feet.

Results and Duration:

The results are not immediate; they are noticeable after 48-72 hours, with the maximum effect at 7 days, and the effects last between 3 and 6 months.
